    Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    We are seeking a full time Certified Surgical Technologist with experience in assisting various specialty such as GI, orthopedic, pain management, spine, ophthalmology, GYN, and oral surgery. Comfortable in assisting for both the adult and pediatric cases.

    Under supervision of the Circulating Nurse, the Surgical Technologist prepares for a scheduled procedure and arranges sterile set up of instrument tables according to established protocol. He/she assists surgeons by passing instruments and supplies, holding retractor's and anticipating surgeons' needs during course of procedure. The surgical tech also cleans the operating room and stores equipment and supplies.



    Key Responsibilities:

    The ideal Certified Surgical Technician candidate is someone who is able to maintain effective communication with patients, staff and physicians; and ensure appropriate protocols with procedures and customer satisfaction. Under supervision of the Circulating Nurse, the Surgical Technologist prepares for a scheduled procedure and arranges sterile set up of instrument tables according to established protocol.  The (certified) Surgical Technologist works as part of the operating room team, setting up instruments and working closely with surgeons and circulators supporting safe patient care, passing instruments and anticipating surgeon's equipment/instrument needs throughout the surgical case and is a specialized position within the facility. The successful incumbent will have a solid understanding of aseptic technique and sterile procedures, maintaining aseptic environment.


    • Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology preferred. 
    • Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
    • Previous experience as a Surgical Tech preferred, specially in the line of orthopedic, spine and cataract surgery.
    • Minimum of six months having the responsibilities/activities of the scrub role in the academic or clinical setting preferred.
    • Demonstrates the ability to provide quality patient care while communicating effectively with members of the surgical team
