    Facility Description:

    Ophthalmology Surgery Center of Dallas opened in 2010 and features eight operating rooms specializing in ophthalmology.  Averaging 1200 cases a month we thrive on excellent patient care and efficiency.  Ophthalmology Surgery Center of Dallas is located in North Dallas off of Central Expressway near Royal lane.

    Accountabilities / Responsibilities

     Pre-operative registered nurse. Flexible full-time (40 hrs) , M-F no weekends or holidays.   

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ability to correlate clinical data with patient’s medical and nursing care
    • Assesses, plans, evaluates, and ensures the implementation of the patient’s care to achieve identified outcomes and delivers safe patient care according to facility policy and procedure.
    • Admits patients according to procedure and completes a review of the medical record
    • Administers and charts medications as ordered by a physician
    • Reinforces and clarifies physician instructions and explanation of procedures to patients
    • Provides nursing care and appropriate monitoring according to policy and procedures
    • Communicates relevant information to physician, facility manager, and appropriate staff
    • Displays a caring and responsive attitude and conducts all activities respecting patient, family and employee rights and expectations.
    • Fosters a positive and professional surgery center environment by interacting with all persons in a considerate, helpful and courteous manner and by participating as a team member.

    Qualifications

    • Required - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Successful completion of BCLS, ACLS, and PALS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current certifications.
    • Preferred – 1 Year experience in Pre-operative nursing, ICU, or Emergency Room
