    Facility Description:

    University Ambulatory Surgery Center is a fast paced multi-specialty outpatient surgery center with 3 Operating Rooms

    Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    We are seeking experienced and motivated Business Office Coordinator who is dependable, detail oriented, skilled problem solver, who has a friendly working style and wishes to work in a pleasant, professional and fast paced environment as part of a collaborative team to deliver quality healthcare to our surgical patients. The Business Office Coordinator will provide support to the facility by performing business office functions to include (but not limited to):  Medical Records, Credentialing, Admissions/Intake, Accounts Payable, Scheduling, Clinical Logs, Compliance and Supervision of Business Office Team.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • ​Direct supervision of non-medical personnel, overseeing patient admissions, surgery scheduling, medical records, accounts payable, compliance and Central Business Office (CBO) management
    • Ensures that administrative and accounting procedures are carried out timely and accurately
    • Coordinates with the CBO so that the operation is most efficient for all concerned
    • Works closely with the physician offices to optimize cases and efficiency
    • Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of payroll
    • Works closely with Clinical Director so that the flow of the overall operation is most efficient, reporting all activities to the Administrator
    • Works closely with the Administrator to promote the utilization of the Surgery Center
    • Actively supports and communicates center and SCA initiatives
    • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills to supersede expectation and demonstrate exceptional professional behavior as a representative of SCA


    • High School Diploma required, College degree preferred
    • Supervisory experience highly preferred
    • Surgery Center/physician office experience highly preferred
    • Revenue Cycle Experience highly preferred
    • Ability to prioritize and work independently
    • Ability to provide direction to others that is clear, concise and promotes efficiency throughout the center.
    • Knowledge of CPT 4 and ICD 10 codes
    • Has thorough knowledge of ASC allowable procedures
    • Demonstrates knowledge of insurance lines of business
    • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
    • Have the ability to evaluate problematic situations and multiple alternative scenarios and come to independent conclusion on how to respond appropriately
    • Have ability to communicate effectively with patient, payors, physicians and other teammates
    • Process knowledge of Microsoft office (outlook, excel and word)
    • Experience with HST and Waystar a plus!
