Facility Description:
South County Surgical Center is a multi-specialty surgery center with 2 OR’s, 2 procedure rooms, and 1 minor procedure room. Specialties include urology, general surgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, gyn, plastics, and gastroenterology. Facility hours are Monday-Friday from 5:00am to 5:00pm.
The Charge RN preop/PACU is responsible for all aspects of nursing care delivery in the facility. Assumes responsibility as clinical lead of preop/PACU department. The clinical lead is also responsible for the Quality Improvement/Risk Management Program for the center and Infection Control. Assumes some responsibility of the facility CEO in his/her absence. As a Registered Nurse, the clinical lead is also responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge.
