    Facility Description: Texas Health Surgery Center Cleburne is a free-standing, multi-specialty ambulatory surgery facility located just 30 minutes southwest of Fort Worth, TX.     Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    The Clinical Lead/ Charge Nurse is responsible for all aspects of nursing care delivered in the facility. The focus will be to provide direction for staff, while having an awareness of the entire patient care process. The Clinical Lead will need to be able to prioritize and manage difficult situations. As a representative of Surgical Care Affiliates, all comments, attitudes, actions, and behaviors will have a direct effect on the Facility’s image and perceptions of quality service. Interaction with patients, families, physicians, referral sources, affiliating schools, visitors, volunteers, co-workers, supervisors, vendors, etc. must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional. This behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork, which is congruent with Facility standards and guidelines to promote positive

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Staff Scheduling  planning daily, weekly, monthly and approve vacation request Coordinating with OR Team leader
    • Manage  patient flow of Pre-Op / PACU
    • Liason with physicians to care for specialty case and or specialty patients
    • Manage staffing daily, lunches and including ensure late coverage.
    • Notify patients of changes in schedule i.e. if rooms running late inform patients , if a case cancels notify front desk move cases up
    • Assist pre-op in obtaining missing  documentation
    • Assist PACU with challenging patients
    • Coordinate & participate new hire interviews
    • Attend Regional Quality Council meeting
    • Provide input (documentation) for mid-year and annual reviews. Including providing input on merit raises
    • Provide input related to addressing individual staff issues ie. Attendance, behavioral issues, training issues
    • Assist in providing in services and staff training related to AAAHC survey prep
    • Quality Council member / reporting on staffing matrix, labor cost relative issues.
    • Assist in Annual policy review of policy which directly impact your area

     

    Qualifications

    • Has successfully completed a program at an accredited school of nursing with a current state nursing license.
    • Experience in ambulatory surgery nursing, at least two (2) to five (5) years of nursing and management experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center is desired.
    • Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS)/Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
    • Successful completion of ACLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
    • Successful completion of PALS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation or current PALS certification.
