    Busy and growing multi-specialty surgery center, conveniently located in beautiful Fort Myers, Florida on Gladiolus Drive.     Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    Our surgical center is seeking exceptional and highly-skilled Surgical Techs for our Ambulatory Surgery Center.  We offer PRN (as needed) and Full-time positions.




    The Surgical Technologist (ST) is responsible for the provision of patient care to meet identified patient outcomes, and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse. The ST performs duties according to scope of practice designated by the facility position description, role and responsibilities and according to the surgical technologist professional organization.



    Key Responsibilities:

    • Delivers safe patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse and according to facility policy and procedure.
    • Demonstrates ability to meet patients and family's learning needs as identified in the plan of care under the direction of the Clinical Leader/Registered Nurse.
    • Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for position.
    • Utilizes time effectively.
    • Adheres to established facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for a Surgical Technician position in the SURGICAL SUITES. This would include patient care duties, the ability to provide care in emergency situations and based upon age-specific needs utilizing a developmental perspective.
    • Maintains flexibility with scheduling and job assignments in order to cover patient needs.  Ability to work in multiple intraoperative specialties.
    • Fosters a positive and professional ambulatory surgery center environment by interacting with all persons in a considerate, helpful and courteous manner and by participating as a team member. Must have an award-winning smile and personality with an unrequited commitment to clinical excellence and outcomes.


    Education – Required:

    • High School Graduate or Equivalent. Prior Experience as an ORT preferred. Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BCLS certification.  Certification is preferred.

    Skills – Required:

    • Exceptional Clinical Skills
    • BLS Certification
    • Certification Preferred



    • Previous work experience in an ambulatory care surgical setting or acute care hospital operating room OR, required
