    Facility Description:

    Citrus Surgery Center is a multispecialty surgical center located on the nature coast in Citrus County Florida. We are centrally located in easy travel distance to Gainesville the home of the University of Florida, Orlando and its amazing theme parks, and Tampa international airport and surrounding sugar white sand beaches.     Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is responsible for the provision of patient care to meet identified patient outcomes, and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse. The CST performs duties according to scope of practice designated by the facility position description, role and responsibilities and according to the surgical technologist professional organization and certification board.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ability to correlate clinical data with patient’s care under the direction of the Clinical Leader/Registered Nurse.
    • Ability to set priorities and perform in a multi-specialty surgical scope including but not limited to Orthopedic, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, ENT, Pain management, and GYN.
    • Ability to communicate well with patients, families, Teammates, physicians, other members of the healthcare team, etc.
    • Recognizes legal and policy limits of individual practice.
    • Ability to function in all required areas of the OR setting including central supply and processing.
    • Detailed job description available during interview process.


    • Graduate of a recognized and accredited Operating Room Technician Program. 
    • Prior Experience as an CST in multispecialty areas preferred. 
    • Current Surgical Technologist certification.
    • Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BCLS certification.
