    Surgical Care Affiliates is seeking a CEO/Administrator to lead one of our newest surgery centers in St. Louis, MO.


    SCA, a leader in the outpatient surgery industry, strategically partners with health plans, medical groups and health systems across the country to develop and optimize surgical facilities. SCA operates more than 210 surgical facilities, including ambulatory surgery centers and surgical hospitals, in partnership with approximately 7,500 physicians. For more information on SCA, visit

    Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    Provides leadership to a team of clinical and business professionals, focused on clinical quality outcomes, labor efficiencies, supply chain management, volume growth drivers and revenue cycle optimization

    • Responsible for center’s P&L; managing financial controls and reporting
    • Responsible for all personnel management, which includes recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and retention of employees
    • Develops and maintains an effective marketing program that encompasses physicians, patients, medical groups, and third party payers   focused on case volume growth
    • Safeguards the Center's assets and ensures that Center's building and/or tenant improvements and equipment are maintained in good   working order and in compliance with local, state and   federal regulations
    • In conjunction with the Medical Director, determines clinical goals and effectively manages resources to achieve the goals and manage the   quality improvement process
    • Ensures efficient business office operations
    • Responsible for creating a fair, open environment for all teammates
    • Depending upon specific facility needs, may participate in the provision of direct patient care consistent with licensure, experience and   current competence in the level of patient care provided
    • Partners with Regional Lead and other field operations leadership (and Home Office resources as needed) for various growth initiatives and   operational improvement opportunities
    • Responsible for all other functions as assigned by the Surgery Center Board of Directors and/or Regional Lead




    • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
    • Master's Degree (MHA, MBA or MSN) preferred
    • Budgeting, financial management, clinical service management
    • Experience in outpatient surgery center or hospital outpatient operations
    • Comprehensive knowledge of St. Louis surgery market preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to develop strong relationships with physicians and SCA teammates
