    Facility Description: Physician’s Surgical Care Center

    Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    The Insurance Verification is responsible for ensuring the facility will be reimbursed for the procedures performed by verifying eligibility and benefits, calculating patient cost portion for the surgery, obtaining authorizations and comparing procedures scheduled against insurance contracts and approved ASC procedure listings.  Communicating financial information to patients and documenting in the patient accounting system, thereby reducing overall AR and increasing bottom line dollars collected.   This position provides excellent customer service to our patients and physicians by promptly verifying insurance and or self-pay accounts. Provides support in other areas of the regional business office as assigned by the Administrator.




    • High school diploma or equivalent. 2-3 years experience in a health care facility business office.
    • Medical terminology, computer and office equipment skills required.
    • Knowledge of CPT codes and insurance contracts is required.
    • In addition, the individual must have strong teamwork ethics, and work together to help and support one another, ensuring the overall success of our centers.
