    Facility Description: 

    Presidio Surgery Center is an ambulatory surgery facility which has been providing high quality care to patients in San Francisco since 1989. Modern medical advances have made it possible for an adult or child to have non-emergency surgery and return home the same day. We are accredited by The Joint Commission and Medicare Certified, meeting the highest quality standards, and consistently exceeding national benchmarks for safety.

    Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    Assists surgical team during operative procedures. Arranges and inventories sterile set-up for surgery and passes items as needed to the operating team. Assists in preparing and moving patients and cleaning the operating room. The Scrub Tech is responsible for the provision of surgical care to meet identified patient outcomes and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse.

    • Ability to remain calm in crisis situations
    • Ability to manage time effectively in a busy, fast paced environment

    Qualifications

    Licenses or Certifications: successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support course

     

    Education, Vocational training and experience:

    • High school graduation or equivalent
    • Completion of a course in surgical technology from an accredited school
    • Military training or on the job training of at least 6 months is required
