    Facility Description: Fort Worth Endoscopy Center is a freestanding single specialty center with 4 procedure rooms completing 750-900 cases per month.

    Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    The Gastroenterology (GI) Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge.  The GI Registered Nurse is responsible for the achievement of patient outcomes through implementation of critical pathways and in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the facility.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assess, plan, and evaluate the implementation of the patient’s care to achieve identified outcomes and safe patient care according to facility policy and procedure
    • Assume an active role in the provision of quality nursing care for patients
    • Demonstrate continued competence in assessing, treating, and caring for individuals based on age-specific criteria
    • Provide continuous patient monitoring, care, and assistance to physician and anesthesia providers
    • Interact with patients, families, teammates, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure a positive and professional facility environment



    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
    • Current Texas Registered Nurse Licensure
    • 2-5 years of nursing experience required, GI experience preferred
    • BLS at hire
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS),  or course completed within 90 days of employment
