    Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer with knowledge and experience in Hyperflex, Hyper-V, Windows Servers Operating Systems, Storage, Cisco UCS and Active Directory. The position is open to a telecommute work environment. You must flexible and able to commute into the Birmingham Office as needed but at minimum monthly. 

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and Support the current infrastructure environment for compute and storage.
    • Resolve any resource shortages.
    • Alert and resolve any performance issues.
    • Ensure that data is available to all applications\systems\users.
    • Provide day-to-day administration, trouble shooting, technical support, preventative maintenance of computer hardware, and problem diagnostics.
    • Maintain professional growth and developments, and keep abreast of the latest changes in technology of Information Systems.
    • Assist and coordinate with other computer systems and personnel as required.
    • Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for all implemented changes.
    • Monitors infrastructure health\security and respond to event alarms.
    • Work as part of a team to ensure a secure, healthy and stable IT environment
    • Application of systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications.
    • Design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing or modification of computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on and related to user or system design specifications.
    • Design, documentation, testing, creation or modification of computer programs related to machine operating systems.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum three years' experience providing support in complex compute and storage environments required
    • Citrix XenApp and NetScaler knowledge and experience required
    • Ability to up to 25% nationwide required
    • Demonstrated experience with Cisco UCS or Cisco Hyperflex
    • Demonstrated experience with virtualization platforms, specifically VMware.
    • Demonstrated experience with EMC storage platforms.
    • Demonstrated experience with EMC Avamar and Data Domain Solutions.
    • Demonstrated experience with Windows Server Operating Systems 2003 - 2016 (installation, configuration, troubleshooting and resolution, etc.).
    • Demonstrated experience Administering or Managing Active Directory.
    • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and excellent communication skills are required.
    • Working knowledge and experience of configuration management and ITIL best practice.
    • Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and IP routing.
    • Familiarity with enterprise backup systems and best practices.
