    Facility Description:


    The Eye Surgery Center of the Carolinas is a single specialty, 4 OR,  Ophthalmology surgery center.  The center is located in the Sandhills region of North Carolina where golfing, horseback riding, tennis, boating and other activities are available.  Pinehurst Resort is located within 2 miles of the center where the Men and Women’s Golf Championship have been held.  This surgery center is a high volume Ophthalmology surgery center performing cataract, retina, glaucoma, cornea, oculoplastic, and laser procedures.


    Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    Full Time Registered Nurse who has the ability to be flexible within an ASC environment to include the Pre Op, PACU, and OR.

    • Clinical Quality- Assesses, plans, and evaluates and ensures the implementation of patient care to achieve identified outcomes and delivers safe patient care according to the facility policy and procedures
    • Teamwork/Accountability/Integrity -demonstrates continued competence for each value
    • Continuous Improvement- responsibly demonstrates the importance of continuing education to the performance of facility responsibilities and growth in profession
    • Service Excellence – Interacts with all surgeons, patients, families, visitor and fellow employees in a mature, responsible manner to ensure a positive and professional facility environment
    • Financial – Provide input regarding equipment/supply needs; contains costs; works within budgets; completes periodic inventory counts


    • Has successfully completed the program at an accredited school of nursing with a current state nursing license.
    • Experience in ambulatory surgery nursing, at least two (2) to five (5) years of nursing experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center is desired.  Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS)/Basic Cardiac Life Support.
    • Successful completion of ACLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
    • Successful completion of PALS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.
