    Facility Description:

    La Veta Surgical is a Multi-Specialty Surgical Center with 5 Operating Rooms and 1 GI Suite. We also have a 2nd site in Irvine, California where there are 2 OR’s and 1 GI Room.  A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment are a must. We are a state-of-the-art center and are looking for the following positions: PACU Charge Nurse


    Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • To promote the highest standards of clinical nursing care
    • To lead, manage and supervise the work of the Staff Nurses
    • To provide person centered nursing care which enables them to enjoy a valued life
    • Complete evaluations Staff Nurses
    • To maintain good working relationships with the nursing and care team, attend staff meetings and encourage input from team
    • Ensure effective assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care
    • To maintain correctly written records as required by the company and the statutory bodies
    • To communicate all requests and changes of practice to all relevant personnel
    • To report any injuries, disease and dangerous practice to all relevant personnel
    • To challenge poor practice and provide guidance for improving practice.
    • Dealing with matters arising in the team with a view to settlement as opposed to escalation
    • Ensuring that all staff comply with the organization’s policies and procedures including Health and Safety and Fire Regulations
    • Ensuring that the service complies with legislative requirements eg Infection Control
    • Performing staff meetings internally as required
    • Maintaining sound working relationships with staff in regulatory bodies and other relevant organizations
    • Report to Clinical Administrator


    • Currently licensed as a R.N. in California
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
    • Previous Hospital and/or Ambulatory Surgery Center experience
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Certification in BLS
    • ACLS and PALS (This can be obtained)
