    Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    Surgical Care Affiliates (SCA) is seeking a Manager of Integration who will be fully dedicated to SCA's acquisition, merger, relocation, de-integration, and de novo project efforts.  The Director of Integration will work closely with new partnerships, SCA’s operational leadership, clinical and support services teams, as well as a variety of external vendors. Managers of Integration are expected to work independently leading complex projects while ensuring process standardization and scalability.  


    This position is responsible for the simultaneous management of multiple projects with varying size and complexity.  Project types include acquisitions of Ambulatroy Surgery Centers (ASC) and Surgical Hospitals, entirely new ASC or Surgical Hospital development (de novo), mergers of one or more existing surgery facilities and other types of investments, acquisitions and de-integrations.  The role will include management of the entire project life cycle,  from the planning stages before a deal is signed to the complete execution of the workplan.


    This role can be remote if qualified candidates are not local to Chicago. Strong geographical preference is West of Texas.


    The Manager of Integration will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of multiple integration projects simultaneously, including: 

    • Leveraging diligence findings and Operational Readout information in determining integration priorities
    • Leading the Operating Model process and effectively managing custom requirements
    • Partnering with support services departments to ensure effective communication, facility support, and efficient use of SCA resources
    • Ensuring role clarity and scalability with facility CEOs, operations, clinical teams, and departments
    • Determining the appropriate areas of focus for the project team
    • Providing tactical leadership and making decisions independently
    • Leading the resolution of cross-functional issues
    • Escalating issues to senior management when appropriate
    • Identifying tactical integration requirements and operational risks
    • Assigning integration resources (external and internal) to tasks
    • Providing status reporting to management using the Operating Model dashboard
    • Providing supervision and oversight to external consultants



    • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Nursing or HealthCare Administration preferred.
    • Three or more years of prior supervisory work experience in healthcare and project management.
    • Ability to travel nationwide up to 75% of the time
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired.
    • Experience on multiple projects creating new surgery centers or surgical hospitals (de novo projects)
    • Strong leadership skills including conflict resolution.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written with clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
    • Strong interpersonal, writing and oral communication skills
