    Facility Description:


    Naperville Surgical Centre, a freestanding ambulatory surgery facility, is owned by DuPage Medical Group, Surgical Care Affiliates, Inc. and Advocate Network Services (an affiliate of Advocate Health Care). The center began providing outpatient surgical services in October of 1993. Naperville Surgical Centre is a Multi-Specialty Surgical Center in Naperville, IL with 4 OR's, 5 private pre-op rooms, 8 Phase I recovery spaces and 8 private rooms in Phase II recovery. Specialties include ENT, General, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Plastics, Podiatry, and urology.

    Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    The Clinical Lead/Nurse Manager – OR is responsible for all aspects of nursing care delivery in the facility. Assumes responsibility as Department Manager of the operating room. The clinical lead is also responsible for the Quality Improvement/Risk Management Program for the center and safety officer/EOC for the facility, as well.  Assumes some responsibility of the Facility CEO in his/her absence. As a Registered Nurse, the clinical lead is also responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge. Directly supervises Charge Nurses, RNFA, Registered Nurses, Surgical Technologist, Endoscopy Technician, Patient Care Attendant, and Patient Care Technician



    The OR Clinical Lead/Nurse Manager shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:


    • Participating in planning For OR cases
    • Maintains OR as assigned, in accordance with written policies and in compliance with various regulatory and accrediting agencies.
    • Responsible for effective management of labor/productivity as well as flexing teammates appropriately.
    • Assists with the development and monitoring of the standards of assigned areas pertaining to the pre-op/PACU, and corresponding ancillary areas.
    • Responsible for efficient and effective patient care and quality improvement.
    • Helps in determining goals and effectively manages resources to achieve the goals.
    • Provides immediate mentoring/coaching to teammates as needed.
    • Maintains a collegial relationship with physicians to ensure quality patient care.



    • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with a current IL state nursing license.
    • Experience circulating in the OR required.
    • At least two (2) to five (5) years of nursing and management experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center is desired.
    • Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS)/Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
    • Successful completion of ACLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
