    Facility Descripton

     

    Stonegate Surgery Center is a beautiful Ambulatory Surgical Center in Austin, Texas. We have five operating room Suites and specialize in orthopedic, podiatry, plastics and pain management and GI procedures.  We are currently searching for a full-time Certified Surgical Technologist. We are open on Monday through Friday.

    Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is responsible for the provision of patient care to meet identified patient outcomes, and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse. The CST performs duties according to scope of practice designated by the facility position description, role and responsibilities and according to the surgical technologist professional organization and certification board.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Delivers safe patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse and according to facility policy and procedure.
    • Ensures provision of patient care daily in an organized and timely manner.
    • Adheres to all policies and procedures when providing patient care.
    • Functions as a certified scrub technician in the operating room/ procedure room under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
    • Utilizes time effectively.
    • Adheres to established facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Fosters a positive and professional surgery center environment by interacting with all persons in a considerate, helpful and courteous manner and by participating as a team member.

    Qualifications

    • Must be graduate of recognized and accredited Operating Room Technician Program
    • Must have 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technician; highly preferred to have experience in Orthopedic, plastics, GYN, and GI specialties  
    • Must have current Surgical Technologist certification
    • Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BCLS certification
