    Senior Director, Sales and Market Development

    Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    As part of SCA’s vision to be the partner of choice and growth leader in the industry, the Sr. Director of Sales and Market Development will ensure identification of all viable growth opportunities in an assigned region or market, and will drive transformation growth and ensure execution of established goals. A Sr. Director of Sales and Market Development demonstrates strong leadership, is entrepreneurial, self-driven, and analytical, organized and proficient in verbal and written communication, and has experience in managing and leading teams.



    Key Responsibilities:

    • Inform and co-develop a strategic growth plan for assigned regions and markets, in collaboration with Operations and Development teams
    • Co-lead market transformation efforts in collaboration with Development and Operations to include: market intelligence, prospecting, qualification and development of high-value target physicians, physician groups, acquisitions, merger and de novo opportunities.
    • Own identification and execution of HVT (high value target) physician opportunities, with specific focus in targeting Joint, Musculoskeletal, and Spine physicians and physician groups.
    • Initiate, foster and drive key physician and stakeholder relationships of new deals, and ensure highly satisfied and secured as required for a successful close.
    • Perform full due diligence, in collaboration with Development team, to obtain and validate case volume performance, procedure and payor specifics for each physician, as well as drive confirmation of commitments to ensure a strong post deal performance
    • Develop customized recruitment and service line specific programs to allow for capture of physician targets and implementation and execution of program or service line expectations.
    • Responsible for monthly in person MOR’s with SVP and RVP’s to review region or market growth plan performance.
    • Attend MOR or other relevant Group strategy and operations meetings and provide formal report out of planning and performance via provided standardized sales reporting and dashboard
    • Own established sales and market development goals and drive results on consistent basis
    • Conduct themselves according to the values of SCA, acting as role model for teammates and direct reports, if applicable, demonstrating full commitment to all tasks necessary to ensure a highly successful outcome in every encounter



    • Strong mission and values fit with the SCA organization
    • 10+ years of experience in a sales role working directly with physicians
    • Demonstrated track record of direct to physician sales results
    • Demonstrated understanding of the ASC business model through direct or indirect experience is a plus
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience working with teams and in collaborative efforts to achieve results
    • Acts as leader and role model for direct reports, department teammates, and all other SCA teammates
    • Extraordinary communication and interpersonal skills resulting in proven relationship building capability
    • Organized and analytical in their work, working independently to achieve assigned tasks and achieve goals and objectives
    • Ability to closely track progress against a plan and strict adherence to deadlines
    • Ability to synthesize information to report to Sr. Executives
    • Emotionally mature and personally secure—self-aware and accepts constructive feedback.
