    Facility Description:

    Stonegate Surgery Center is a beautiful Ambulatory Surgical Center in Austin, Texas. We have five OR Suites and specialize in orthopedic, podiatry, plastics and pain management procedures.  We are currently accepting applications for PRN Registered Nurses, Operating Room. We are open Monday through Friday.

    Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    We are seeking experienced Operating Room Circulating Nurses who are dependable, detail-oriented, skilled problem solvers, and who have a collaborative, friendly working style.  Qualified candidates must have a proven track record of delivering superior service to physicians, patients, and teammates.  Candidates must exemplify our organization’s values of Clinical Quality, Integrity, Service Excellence, Teamwork, Accountability and Continuous Improvement.  The OR Nurse is responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient care of the patient in the operating room, and must demonstrate competence and adherence to the various professional organization’s standards, as well as the center’s policies and procedures.  

     Key Responsibilities:

    • Delivers safe patient care under the direction of the surgeon and anesthesiologist.
    • Ensures that the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment, in accordance with the physician’s preference card.
    • Anticipates the needs of the patient, surgeon, and anesthesiologist throughout the surgical procedure.
    • Accurately and legibly documents in the medical record.
    • Assists in keeping physician preference cards accurate and up to date.
    • Effectively communicates with patients, teammates, and physicians to ensure continuity of care. Responsible for other tasks such as picking supplies for cases, turning over rooms, stocking, etc., as directed by the OR Charge Nurse.


    • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
    • Current Texas Nursing License
    • Two years of OR Experience; ASC experience preferred
    • Current BLS/ACLS/PALS Certification or completion within 90 days of employment
