    Facility Description:

    Texas Health Surgery Center-Park Hill

    5 Operating room facility specializing in orthopedics, general surgery, ophthalmology and ENT.

    Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    Provides planned, skilled technical assistance to surgeons and RNs in the critical operative period.  

    • Assemble supplies and equipment for schedule procedures based on surgeon preference.
    • Inspects equipment for proper working condition.
    • Adheres to aseptic and sterile techniques as appropriate.
    • Maintain availability of equipment and instruments.
    • Handle instruments correctly and safely.
    • Able to maintain clean and orderly work area.
    • Assist with storing and stocking supplies as needed.
    • Maintain and update preference cards as necessary.
    • Cleans and stores instruments and equipment according to manufacturer instructions.
    • Perform appropriate biological monitoring and testing.
    • Performs specified functions to meet the requirements of each procedure approved for the Facility and assists surgeon as necessary.

    Qualifications

    • Surgical technician training and certification required.
    • Operating room experience required.
    • CPR Certification required.
