    Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Radiology Manager to supervise and oversee the activities of the hospital’s imaging department.  This position will also perform multi-modality scans and functions related to procedures for patients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervises all staff on a daily basis which includes scheduling, management, and training functions as needed.
    • Assists the Chief Operations Officer with marketing initiatives on an as needed basis to promote Outpatient Imaging business.
    • Reports all monthly metrics pertinent to exam volume and Imaging revenues for collection and use in the department’s metrics program.
    • Works in concert with the Chief Operations Officer to grow revenues by 20% in 2018.
    • Participates in educational venues and seminars on an annual basis for performance improvement initiatives for the department.
    • Coordinates and assists the Medical Physicist’s Safety and Quality Control Surveys, as well as coordinating equipment PM’s with the appropriate Radiology vendor.
    • Correctly identifies patient and corresponding exam. Obtains and documents patient history.
    • Demonstrates proper positioning, radiographic techniques, and cassette screen/grid combinations to ensure high quality examinations.
    • Practice standard precautions and maintain infection control standards.
    • Educate patient regarding procedures and related information.
    • Properly operate equipment as demonstrated by observation and audit.
    • Perform and support quality assurance/CQI programs and processes.
    • Screen patients before exam for any contraindications pertaining to exam.
    • Start heplock and administer IV contrast under direction of the Radiologist.
    • Assist the Radiologist with Arthrogram procedures. Must demonstrate appropriate sterile procedure skills.


    • Completion of an Associates program in Radiologic Technology is required.
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Supervisory role is required.
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Rad Tech III is required.
    • Current State and ARRT licensure for all three modalities (Radiography, Computed Tomography, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is required.
    • Current CPR certification (or obtained within 90 days of hire) is required.
