Facility Description:

Large, 8 Operating Room, 1 Procedure Room Multispecialty Ambulatory Surgical Facility. The facility opened in 1984 and currently serves over 100 surgeons.  Surgical Specialties provided include Ophthalmology, Interventional Pain Management, Otolaryngology, Orthopedics & Spine, Gynecological Surgery, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry and Oral Surgery. Patients have their same-day surgery in a warm, inviting environment and are discharged home after recovery. The facility does offer 23-hour stay when patients need to be observed overnight.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Provide support to the Purchasing Manager by assisting with inventory receiving, stocking, learning inventory management system for ordering to provide back-up purchasing, delivering supplies throughout facility and other materials management duties as assigned. Provide support to the Maintenance Supervisor by assisting with facility plant maintenance, safety officer tasks as assigned and other maintenance duties as assigned.  This is a full time position, with typically day-shift hours. There may be occasional flex to evening or weekend hours as necessary.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Receives and unloads inventory deliveries.
  2. Stocks inventory in Bulk Storage area and throughout facility as directed.
  3. Assists vendors with deliveries, operating freight elevator, using hand trucks, pallets, etc.
  4. Learns inventory management system and serves as back-up purchaser at the direction of Purchasing Manager.
  5. Assists with weekly, monthly and quarterly maintenance logs.
  6. Assists with facility plant maintenance as needed.
  7. Identifies potentially unsafe situations and notifies supervisor.
  8. Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.


  • High School diploma or equivalent;
  • 2 years inventory stocking experience, healthcare setting strongly preferred;
  • Excellent telephone etiquette MANDATORY.
  • Must be personable, friendly, and exhibit flexibility and positive interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills MANDATORY.
  • Knowledge of typical medical supplies required.
  • Computer experience, Excel, Word, web-based software systems.
