Facility Description:

Ophthalmology Surgery Center of Dallas opened in 2010 and features eight operating rooms specializing in ophthalmology.  Averaging 1200 cases a month we thrive on excellent patient care and efficiency.  We received AAAHC commended status in 2014 and are the third busiest surgery center in the nation according to CMS data.  Ophthalmology Surgery Center of Dallas is located in North Dallas off of Central Expressway near Royal lane. 


Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Assist nursing staff in the discontinuation of IVs , Vital signs, Patient transfer, etc.
  • Interacts with all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees in a mature, responsible manner to ensure a positive and professional facility environment.
  •  Demonstrates to competent usage of proper body mechanics in all activities
  •  Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for position in preoperative/postoperative patient care duties under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  •  Fosters a positive and professional surgery center environment by interacting with all persons in a considerate, helpful and courteous manner and by participating as a team member.


  • Required – Medical Assistant Certificate.
  • Successful completion of BLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current certifications.
