Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director Financial Operations, this role is responsible for providing analytical support to the Operations and Financial Operations teams, generating standard monthly operational and financial reports, and completing ad hoc requests and special projects as needed – all of which help support meaningful year over year growth of a critical geography of Surgical Care Affiliates (SCA). 


The Analyst – Financial Operations position can be a launching pad to a career within Operations, Finance, or Corporate Development.



  • Analyze monthly results regarding performance vs budget, forecast, and prior periods; and provide insight and recommendations on trajectory of business
  • Perform analytics (i.e. contribution margin, cash generation, benchmarking, other ad hoc requests) to support initiatives of the Financial Operations team and Operations team
  • Generate standard monthly operating/financial reports and participate on monthly review calls
  • Build presentations for quarterly surgery center and joint venture board meetings
  • Build financial models for transactions with new physicians and mergers
  • Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting



  • Qualified candidate will be highly analytical, a critical thinker, intellectually curious, with decision making skills
  • Ability to digest financial information, render judgment, create context, pattern recognition
  • Ability to meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail, and manage conflicting priorities
  • Very proficient to expert level using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must have 2+ years of relevant experience working in relevant business field
  • Bachelor’s degree in business field required – Finance/Economics/Accounting
  • Additional education such as MBA and/or CPA is preferred but not required
  • Relevant healthcare experience is preferred but not required
