Overview

SCA, a leader in the outpatient surgery industry, strategically partners with health plans, medical groups and health systems across the country to develop and optimize surgical facilities. SCA operates more than 200 surgical facilities, including ambulatory surgery centers and surgical hospitals, in partnership with approximately 3,000 physicians. Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Work with communications manager to ensure consistent messaging across various internal and external communication channels and support company-wide strategic communication initiatives in line with SCA’s vision, mission, strategy and values.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

External:

  • Support SCA’s facility website redesign project of over 150 sites
  • Support marketing efforts including case study development and marketing collateral creation
  • Serve on industry conference team in execution of marketing collateral and external branding strategy
  • Support SCA’s foundational non-profit partner (One World Surgery) on communications initiatives
  • Support coordination of SCA photo and video shoots
  • Coordinate facility advertising initiatives

 

Internal:

  • Manage primary communication vehicles including the weekly teammate update, “Ask Leadership” Q&A channel and enterprise-wide communications
  • Support communications for ongoing company priorities including the company wellbeing program and benefits communications
  • Coordinate key leadership town hall meetings broadcasted to our facilities and support services teammates
  • Manage distribution lists for internal and external contacts
  • Own SCA intranet and content development
  • Monitor and respond to SCA Connection email inbox
  • Develop and deploy content for SCA’s internal social media platform Yammer
  • Own the Deerfield office communication to teammates

 

Qualifications

Total education, vocational training and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required; minimum GPA 3.4
  • 1-3 years internal and external communications experience required
  • Experience managing external vendors required
  • Experience supporting broad multimedia, multi-channel communications programs preferred
  • Experience in highly decentralized organization preferred
  • Deep working knowledge of Constant Contact, InDesign, WordPress, Zoom and GoToWebinar highly preferred
  • Public relations and marketing agency experience preferred

  • A creative mind with a demonstrated ability to translate complex topics to effective messaging and marketing campaigns
