Accountabilities / Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Integration and Training Manager manages supply chain activities related to the due diligence and acquisition of centers/hospitals projects as part of the Development and Support Services process.  This role will coordinate all of the supply chain activities within Supply Chain Operations (SCO,) other SCA departments, as well as potential and existing centers/hospitals to ensure that deadlines, timelines and commitments are met. This role is also responsible to deliver supply chain related training to SCA’s surgery center partnerships and acquisitions.  This role will be tasked with developing and efficiently delivering training in multiple formats including web-based, regional on-site, and center specific.  The successful candidate will have a solid background in project management and extensive supply chain or purchasing experience.  Additionally, the candidate must be results oriented, analytical, versatile, and motivated with sound judgment and excellent communication skills. This candidate will have proven successful leadership capabilities with influencing skills and the ability to foster credibility and trust while encouraging and capitalizing on opportunities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the business development and support services teams for supply chain aspects of the due diligence and integration processes.
  • Perform and/or coordinate supply chain due diligence relative to potential acquisitions or service engagements, including cost analysis, contract reviews, and operational process reviews,
  • Develop presentations on projected cost savings, process efficiencies, and financial modeling.
  • Develop and execute supply chain integration plans for new acquisitions/support services relationships and lead matrixed teams through integration implementations
  • Educate and facilitate teams to understand methods and processes required to achieve measurable cost reduction results through standardization, utilization and pricing reduction strategies.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure successful integrations of broad and complex programs   
  • Conduct pre-close planning and execution actions, including tracking and reporting of cost savings pull through as well as implementation of process efficiency recommendations.

Qualifications

Total education, vocational training and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in purchasing, operations, business or equivalent experience masters preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of medical supplies with an emphasis on physician preference items, materials management systems, GPOs, value analysis process, and industry standard analytic tools.
  • Experience in healthcare industry with Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience preferred.
  • Expert in Microsoft applications with working knowledge of industry standard contract management, materials management, and reporting software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated success communicating across a variety of audiences, including executives and physicians
  • Superior organization, attention to detail and analytical skills with emphasis in managing multi-site requests, workload prioritization.
  • Must demonstrate and maintain an extremely high regard for confidential and sensitive information.
  • 3-5 years required of direct project management and supply chain accountability required
