Accountabilities / Responsibilities

The Clinical Services team is looking for a dynamic leader who will be able to drive change across the enterprise, keeping clinical first. In the spirit of Clinical Quality and Continuous Improvement, this would involve leading special projects, conducting analysis and performance improvement studies, and disseminating evidenced based practices. 


The Director, Clinical Project Management works closely with and provides services to SCA senior leadership, ASC and Surgical Hospital teammates, Operations leaders, and Department teammates across the SCA Community. The Director, Clinical Project Management must also be capable of presenting and executing both the clinical and SCA strategic vision.  


In addition the Director, Clinical Project Management will also have experience in but not limited to:


  • Communicating and collaborating with different audiences and stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements including coordinating projects and key stakeholders while managing competing priorities
  • Displaying exceptional analytical and organizational skills, including a proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and successful completion of short- and long-term goals through project performance tracking.
  • Acting as department liaison and educational resource for SCA teammates in regards to Clinical Services strategies and initiatives.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project targets as needed.
  • Knowledge of standards, survey methodology and related tools and resources for regulatory and accreditation compliance.
  • Demonstrating leadership and making decisions independently while providing strategic guidance regarding established and new business processes.



  • 5 years’ experience in the ambulatory surgery center (ASC) and/or surgical hospital settings (i.e. facility operations, quality improvement programs, regulatory and accreditation standards, etc.).
  • Licensed Registered Nurse, BSN required. MSN or higher level of education highly preferred.
  • Professional Organization certification preferred (i.e. Project Management, CNOR, etc.)
  • Active membership in the professional organizations such as AORN, PMI, etc. preferred.
  • Experience leading and managing complex projects and/or performance improvement studies involving multiple stake holders preferred.
  • Experience writing and publishing healthcare related research articles preferred.
  • Experience conducting research. Regularly access internal and external resources to maintain professional knowledge base.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed to support growth and enterprise initiatives.
  • Experience in use of Microsoft word, excel, and power point.
