Cedar Park Surgery Center is a busy, freestanding, multi-specialty outpatient surgery center, located in Cedar Park, Texas.  The surgery center features four operating rooms and one pain room. 

Accountabilities / Responsibilities

PRN PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse for a high volume multi-specialty ASC. This person must have experience in an ambulatory surgery center setting.  Provides direct patient care to patient population.  Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.  Assists with the maintenance of PRE-OP/ PACU equipment and inventory.  Responsible for monitoring patient’s physiological status in the immediate pre/ postoperative environment.  Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously, and as needed, about patient conditions.  


Key Responsibilities:


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Prepares patients for surgeries, starts IVs, administers indicated medications
  • Cares for the patient in the immediate post-operative setting
  • Provide patient assistance in care, ambulation, positioning, transfers, and transport
  • Able to multi task and communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia staff, coworkers and patient/families
  • Able to make critical/timely decisions as indicated


  • PreOp/PACU experience is required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure
  • Current BLS/ACLS certification
