Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Our growing surgical center is seeking exceptional and highly-skilled Certified Nursing Assistants for our Ambulatory Surgery Center.  We offer PRN (as needed), Part-time, Part-time with Benefits and Full-time with Benefits positions.


The Certified Nursing Assistant, is responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse with the provision of nursing care in the assigned intra-operative areas of the surgery center.  Our healthcare teammates are dedicated to exceeding the expectations of our patients while meeting their individualized health and surgical needs in collaboration with our physicians and facility administrative procedures.  Our teammates participate in Quality activities, Best Practice Initiatives, and education offerings to ensure that they are on the cutting edge of the latest innovations in surgical care.  We promote a team environment through a shared governance model with a multi-disciplinary approach. Our teammates are expected to engage at the highest level with a driving hunger to always raise the bar. We work in a fast-paced clinical environment, where Certified Nursing assistants, under the direction of the Registered Nurse, provide hands-on assistance and care to our patients and a rewarding career path. 


  • Assists the Registered Nurse with direct patient care by:
  • Taking vital signs and communicating to the RN.
  • Providing comfort measures to the patient as directed.
  • Checks dressings or drains and reports status.
  • Assists patients with dressing, ambulation and toileting needs.
  • Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for a Certified Nursing Assistant position in the Perioperative Services Area.
  • Maintains and evaluates their own clinical expertise and clinical practice, demonstrates the importance of continuing education to the performance of facility responsibilities and professional growth.
  • Performs administrative duties as assigned.
  • Maintains flexibility with scheduling and job assignments in order to cover patient needs.  Ability to work in multiple perioperative areas.
  • Fosters a positive and professional ambulatory surgery center environment by interacting with all persons in a considerate, helpful and courteous manner and by participating as a team member. Must have an award-winning smile and personality with an unrequited commitment to clinical excellence and outcomes.
  • Participates in committees, work groups and meetings as deemed necessary. 
  • Successfully completes required competencies required of the position, obtains laboratory, 
  • EKG, etc. as requested by physician according to policy.


  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant Program with Certification.
  • BLS, or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

  • Basic computer literacy to include proficiency in the following skills:Send and Receive Company Email
  • Access and chart by electronic methods
  • Electronic collection, analysis and tracking of data
  • Create basic Word Processing Documents
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
  • Ability to listen, comprehend and follow instructions. 


  • Previous work experience in an ambulatory care surgical setting or acute care hospital OR
  • Previous work experience in a hospital Critical Care setting
