SCA owns and/or provides management services to 205 ambulatory surgery centers, surgical hospitals, and hospital surgery departments, in partnership with approximately 2,800 physicians and in affiliation with 105 health systems. Facility Description: Located at the “crossroads” of the city. Close to downtown, bricktown, as well great access to all areas of the city.


Accountabilities / Responsibilities

The Materials Manager is responsible for the hospital’s inventory management plan to support patient care, and to achieve organizational goals as directed by hospital leadership 

  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of the hospital inventory management plan
  • Responsible for the ordering, receipt and distribution of clinical and non-clinical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation
  • Proactive implementation and maintenance of the inventory barcode system
  • Collaboration with department managers to anticipate materials needs
  • Plans and administers the Materials department budget
  • Works with Controller in providing analytics, metrics and case costing
  • Coordinates and oversees quarterly inventory counts
  • Responsible for accuracy of the department’s record keeping and reporting
  • Analyzes the adequacy of inventory par levels
  • Monitors obsolete inventory and facilitates its disposal
  • Performs periodic cycle counts
  • Works with the Charge Capture Coordinator to track consumption and ensure all inventory items are properly charged
  • Contributes to successful surgical outcomes by having necessary inventory on hand
  • Manages ongoing review of vendor pricing to ensure that the hospital is receiving the highest quality items at the lowest available price
  • Performs miscellaneous job related responsibilities as assigned


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field required (Associates Degree and/or applicable work history will be considered)
  • Demonstrated supply chain management experience in the surgical hospital setting required
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams required
