Busy Multi-Specialty Ambulatory Surgical Center in San Diego, Sorrento Valley area

Accountabilities / Responsibilities

The Preoperative Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge.  The Registered Nurse is responsible for the achievement of patient outcomes through implementation of critical pathways and in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of the facility.   

  • Assesses, plans, evaluates and ensures the implementation of the patient’s care to achieve identified outcomes and delivers safe patient care according to facility policy and procedure in Preop.
  • Assumes an active role in the provision of quality nursing care for patients receiving care.
  • Demonstrates continued competence in assessing, treating, and caring for individuals based upon age-specific needs utilizing a developmental perspective.
  • Displays teamwork, accountability, and integrity
  • Contributes to continuous improvement of care at the facility
  • Upholds and practices the principles and policies of the SCA/SCSD compliance
  • Is committed to service excellence

Qualifications

  • Have a valid CA State Registered Nursing License (Required)
  • ACLS Certification (Required)
  • 2 years Preoperative nursing experience (Preferred)
