Surgical Care Affiliates is currently seeking a PACU Nurse Manager for the Surgery Center of Fairfield County in Trumball, CT.

The Nurse Manager is responsible for all aspects of nursing service delivery in the facility. This role assumes responsibility as Clinical Manager of PACU and is also responsible for the Infection Control, Policies, Regulatory Requirements, Quality Improvement, Risk Management Program and Education Coordinator for the facility, as well. Responsibilities will include being survey-ready and will assume some responsibility of the Administrator in his/her absence. As a Registered Nurse, the Nurse Manager is also responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge.

  • Ability to correlate clinical data with patient’s medical and nursing care.
  • Ability to set priorities.
  • Ability to provide direction to others that is clear, concise and promotes efficiency throughout the clinical areas of the facility.
  • Ability to communicate well with patients, families, teammates, physicians, other healthcare workers, etc.
  • Recognizes legal and policy limits of individual practice.
  • Manages schedule and staff appropriately.
  • Assesses, plans, and evaluates and ensures the implementation of the patients care to   achieve identified outcomes and delivers safe patient care according to facility policy and procedure.
  • Assumes a leadership role in the provision of quality nursing care for patients receiving care.
  • Demonstrates continued competence in assessing, treating, and caring for individuals based on age-specific needs utilizing developmental perspective.
  • Completes all documentation to ensure the availability of accurate and up to date information in accordance with established standards.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • Current State Nursing License
  • Experience in ambulatory surgery nursing
  • 2-5 years of nursing and management experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center
  • Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification
