  •  Meets or exceeds established annual goals. 
  • Manages inpatient unit personnel, operating, and capital resources in a manner that promotes a safe, effective, efficient, cost conscious work environment. 
  • Provides clinical oversight for the Stabilization Area. 
  • Provides managerial oversight for food and dietetic services in collaboration with the hospital dietician and contracted food service. 
  • Ensures that care is individualized based on the needs of the patient and age specific considerations.
  •  Creates a work environment that promotes positive, collaborative relationships that values individual contributions to the team. 
  • Empowers direct caregivers to provide effective care consistent with relevant scopes of practice. 
  • Guides the development of staff in clinical and interpersonal skills. 
  • Establishes and maintains good rapport and cooperative relationship within medical staff, co-workers, supervisors and others.
  •  Demonstrates the highest standard for patient safety, clinical practice, and leadership accountability. 
  • Ensures compliance with licensure requirements, accreditation standards, and internal policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven compatibility with SCA’s Core Values
  • Licensed Registered Nurse with training and experience working in a hospital based perioperative services department, with extensive experience in directing operating room services
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
  • Experience working with various levels of employees
  • Experience in working with physicians, patients and various clinical staff desirable
  • Knowledge of management principles, including human resources, budget planning and monitoring and customer service
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to perform under stress
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; expertise in Excel a plus
