The Vice President of Practice Operations will work closely with the Optum Specialty Practices team and other senior executives in execution of an independent specialist partnership strategy for the Specialty Practice Division. The focus of this individual will be to establish and manage joint ventures with independent specialty practices across the country and represent the Specialty Practice team at an executive level with the physician and administrative leadership of those practices, as well as internally with other SCA, Optum and UHG leadership.
A key component of the role will be a deep understanding of the needs and challenges facing most independent specialty groups, the value propositions and levers that Specialty Practice can bring to a practice, quickly assess the landscape and coordinate the appropriate internal and external resources to develop and validate those propositions and ultimately drive an actionable strategic plan in partnership with the practice.
